Evangelism Corner

Fishers of Men BannerWelcome to the Evangelism Corner, where you’ll find various resources on the subject of evangelism, for the purpose of equipping and motivating God’s people to reach the lost with the gospel in their community.  We find in the Gospels that Jesus called His disciples with the purpose of preparing them to become fishers of men (Matt. 4:19; Mk. 1:17; cf. Matt. 28:17-20; Acts 1:8).  Preparation is an important and necessary aspect of evangelism.  After all, evangelism is “gospelizing” (making known the good news that Jesus came to save sinners, and the means by which He accomplished this), which is no small matter.  It’s about souls and God’s glory!  It is absolutely important that we are thoroughly trained by the gospel, have a good working knowledge of the Bible, and can discern biblical and unbiblical approaches to evangelism.  While certain men may be called and gifted for a special focus on evangelism, it still remains true that all disciples have both the responsibility and privilege of making known the good news of salvation in and through Jesus (Matt. 5:13-16; Col. 4:5-6; 1 Pet. 3:13-17).  Therefore, it is my hope that these resources may be used of God to further equip and motivate His people to make known His glorious gospel to all peoples.
