Lanier Theological Library: A Study Haven

LTL BannerI actually came across this beautiful and comprehensive library from another site, Reformed Baptist Pastor.  Lanier Theological Library is truly a haven for Bible students and scholars.  Located in Houston, TX, this theological library boasts an expansive collection of biblical and theological materials, to include ancient artifacts.  The following is from their site:

The Lanier Theological Library is a growing resource for all students and scholars of the Bible in Northwest Houston. Within the library, you will find a comprehensive collection of books, periodicals, historical documents and artifacts with topics ranging from Church History and Biblical Studies to Egyptology and Linguistics. The LTL regularly hosts events with noted authors, guest lecturers and researchers who will challenge you both academically and spiritually. Come to the Lanier Theological Library and find serious tools for serious study.

Although the library does not allow its patrons to check out books, it does contain a couple copiers for your convenience (definitely useful if you’re engaged in a research project).  This book lover’s paradise is further equipped with coffee machines and free wi-fi!  What is more, LTL regularly hosts lectures by some of the Church’s most respected scholars.  Two upcoming lectures are by Alister McGrath and D. A. Carson.  Lastly, LTL possesses its own chapel on its grounds, modelled after ancient Byzantine church architecture.

If you ever find yourself driving through Houston, or if you have the pleasure of residing there, be sure to give LTL a visit.
