Missionaries: Karl Dahlfred (Thailand)

Karl Dahlfred and his wife, Sun, are church planting missionaries in Thailand, based in Bangkok.  Karl earned his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and his Master of Theology from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University.  He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA).  Sun earned her degree in Biblical Studies from Biola University and later earned her M.A. in TESOL from Azusa Pacific University.  Karl currently teaches part-time at Bangkok Bible Seminary, and he assists with editing and translation of Thai Christian books at Kanok Bannasan (OMF Publishers Thailand).  Here is more from their blog:

We are missionaries to Thailand.  Sent by our home churches, we work under the auspices of OMF International (originally China Inland Mission founded by Hudson Taylor), an international, interdenominational evangelical Protestant mission organization.

Karl and Sun live in downtown Bangkok where Karl teaches missions and church history at Bangkok Bible Seminary, and assists with translation and editing at Kanok Bannasan (OMF Publishers Thailand), one of the few publishers of Thai Christian books.  They are also involved in local ministry with Thai churches.

Further, Karl has authored the book, Theology Drives Methodology: Conversion In the Theology of Charles Finney and John Nevin.  Essentially, in this book he contrasts the theologies and methodologies of these two men in their preaching and evangelistic ministries, demonstrating how one’s methods in ministry is a result of one’s theology.  Please pray for Karl and Sun (and family) as they minister to bring the gospel and sound teaching in Thailand.  Also, be sure to visit their blog: Gleanings from the Field.
